Points of Interest

The Harrison Courthouse Square District, which still houses original government and commercial structures, has been recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Harrison is also relatively close to Branson, Missouri, a family vacation hotspot, and the popular tourist town Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Established in 1996, the Ozark Arts Council strives ‘to enrich lives by promoting the arts in Harrison and North Arkansas through exhibitions, performances, and education'. The Ozark Arts Council provides support and donations to organizations such as The Theatre Company, Twentieth Century Club, Woman’s Book Club, Ozark Children’s Choir, Northark Drama, and the historic Lyric Theatre, which originally opened as a movie theater in 1929, but is now used to host plays and other community events.
